The Meizu m8 minione is the phone that could rock iPhones world, made by Meizu in China it apparently debuts at the CES exhibition in January right in the iPhones backyard!
It is an iPhone clone running a high end 667 MHz ARM1176JZF-S processor, Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 core, a 3.1MP camera, Bluetooth and has a front camera for 3G video calling, something the iPhone is missing. It also has a light sensor allowing the phone to automatically adjust screen brightness in accordance to the lightning in the environment, plus a tilt and movement recognizing sensor that will allow it to auto-adjust screen orientation in accordance to tilting. It can also recognize movements (ie. shaking), a feature which can be used for games.
So this device certainly packs a punch, and has all that the iPhone doesn't have and more, the Scheduled release date is late February beginning of March 2008, but expect a court appearance straight after!
Pricing is expected to be very competitive as you would expect, and there will apparantly be 4gb, 8gb and 16gb versions with the 16gb version coming in at around the $450 mark, which is very cheap. The full expected specification of this exciting new device can be found
HERE .
iPhone beater? I think so by a stretch! It does not have GPS but I can forgive it for that, this is one device myself, and I expect HTC will be watching out for. I love it!
