Re: Vodafone official 6.1 upgrade available for v1615! :)
upgraded - and restored with Spb Backup
all went well.
But then did my usual "cleanse" to rebuild from scratch - I don't know why, but I always like rebuilding - gives me chance to spring clean the device and put on only the necessary apps.
Not sure if I like threaded SMS or not... but seems a lot better.
Anyone else noticed the SMS agent in Settings>Connections?? I may be wrong, but appears you can use GPRS to send SMS if desired. Will have to look into more detail...

That's been in WM for a long time.
I have never tried changing it as I don't know if UK operators would deliver the message. Could always try I suppose! But then is it worth it for the 8 SMS messages I send in any month?

Re: Vodafone official 6.1 upgrade available for v1615! :)
The only device I have currently with carrier WM6.0 is an O2 device and it has the SMS Service on it and offers GPRS or GSM.
I've certainly been seeing it for a while.....

I'm pretty sure it's been around a fair while too.

Is it really that useful though unless you're a big texter?

Probably now, if you have a TMob flex account and WnW then you could do all your text over GPRS (unlimited) and use the whole of you credit bucket for voice calls. That would be a bonus but for the average Joe? I dunno. Never dealved into it myself.
