Re: Vodafone official 6.1 upgrade available for v1615! :)

I'm definitely seeing 8-10 mg less of program memory following the upgrade.

The device is more stable, particularly with Goodlink ... but I still had to move away from iLauncher as it clashed with Good Messaging protection manager causing the phone app not to run after softreset 90% of the time.

Memory is a real concern. Has anyone else measured before and after ?

Have others soft reset before the Voda customisations have run to stop them ? I did on my old 1605 ... but didn't bother this time. How much memory do they take up ?

Re: Vodafone official 6.1 upgrade available for v1615! :)

If I remember correctly I am pretty sure the customisations are only the carrier settings for the phone itself, so once installed there is nothing there using memory. If you stop it running you will have to install the settings anyway unless you use a different carriers sim in which case stop it!

I wouldn't worry about memory problems too much, but it might pay to run a few apps from your storage card, except of course anything Today Screen related as a rule of thumb.
