Hi David and welcome
The early versions of the Diamond didn't perform that well, a fact recognised by HTC, so they addressed the problem by issuing an updated rom and all is ok now.

Hmmm, I think this looks really fat, I'm leaning to the X1 over the Touch Pro!

It is on the bulky side isn't it.

I agree with El Mariachi, fat is the term I'd use. For me the thickness is the most important aspect. I find a larger flatter device feels much less bulky than a shorter thicker device.

Re: ::unwired - Hands-on with the O2 Xda diamond pro Windows Mobile Smartphone
I actually prefer the more solid feel of the bulkier device... Especially since I usually don't have to handle my devices unless emailing or texting... Other than that, I use my device primarily as a phone, utilizing bluetooth and MS Voice Command... and when connected to my laptop, I use MyMobiler...

This is obviously an early test ROM and knowing HTC / O2 it will no doubt be optimised for production runs.
