I think it may be selective customers? As my man in the know (orange retailer) suggested this was for new customers only - but for me to call them anyway.
Overall, I think this is a step in the right direction for orange, but they are not quite there a no data only plans or bundles are offered. The CS agent suggested this move was due to high spending customers leaving due to the poor options.
This is interesting information...
In regards to unlimited free internet on Orange question to a memebr of another forum

Hey there, Surprisingly its on there pay as you go dolphin package, but they don't advertise this part of the deal. Basically if you go on the orange pay as you go dolphin sim, and top up a min of 10 pounds you get unlimited free HSDPA/3G internet! (they sent me a txt confirming it). other features of the deal are 300 free txts, and if you top up £30 you get unlimited free texts. but calls are charged - so if your a big caller this is not a deal for you.
its not a well documented deal, and they don't advertise is (probably coz their contract customers don't even get free internet...) I also have herd Vodafone have an unlimited internet usage contract plan out if you need a contract...

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
There are rumours of this being only.
2 months unlimited 2
off-peak5 web browsing3
http://www1.orange.co.uk/service_pla...ice_guides.pdf
I phoned to confirm (4o min phone call talking to an agent who did not know) In the end he said 24/7 access, and does not include downloads? I think I just wait for my August bill to see.

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
That Price Guide is not current (or should I say doesn't include the latest tariff components); it is the guide which came into force on 1st April.
I was told by CS that the new tariffs are part of Orange's revamp (new branding ads due on 5th July on TV) and should be permanent (or as permanent as any tariffs are!); as there is no warning about an expiry date on any of the info pages, they would be on sticky ground if they remove the data element.

That was my initial thought Neil...
Just wanted confirmation as members on another forum I just registered on are asking the same.
I now the site is not run by orange, but hey, they should display the most-up-to-date information when changes become available and actually inform the CS staff better.

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
Just a nother small but significant confirmation- the new Data Inclusive tariffs have now appeared in my online account management screen under the Change Service Plan option, with a clearly marked 'Star' saying 'Unlimited Mobile Internet' so existing customers are now formally included.
Minimum cost is £35 per month (the 'New Customer' deal starts with the £35 band, but there is a £5 pm online discount, which existing customers don't get till they upgrade)
So my new plan is to Upgrade no1 account to a Diamond if the price is right, and negotiate an account continuation on no 2 account with no device update and a suitable discount- hopefully resulting in 2 'unlimited data accounts with the Ameo and Diamond for around £55

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
Neil, if you only use the Ameo for data, wouldn't something like a Three PAYG sim with the £5 a month data add-on be a cheaper option for you? Or is it still a question of service availability where you live?

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
Yes- still service availability. We don't get a native 3 signal at home or work, and the PAYG service doesn't give data when 'roaming' on some devices. The S730 was OK, but the Ameo and Trinity aren't.
I'm also a little concerned that the upcoming tie-in with T-Mobiles masts may mean they stop the roaming agreement with Orange, meaning I'd be left with no signal again.
I still have my 3 PAYG SIM, but it's a bit redundant as I can't find anywhere I can usefully employ it for data!
Taking a 3 contract would be another option, but I'm still dubious about whether I'd be left without a signal!

Re: Orange Launch New Plans with Inclusive Data
Got there Bible today (Whats new in, July) from Orange retail in town. As usual full of errors in the T&Cs and apparently the Diamond has a MicroSD slot. In the shop the display card for the dummy model suggested it had a 5MP camera, so I ask the sales lady to confirm this - after a short while she came back to me and informed me that it did have a 5MP one. LOL
