Re: O2 Release Windows Mobile 6.1 for the XDA Stellar

In the future to get around this just rename the 2577 folder to 2577x which will prevent the autoinsall of TomTom....

Re: O2 Release Windows Mobile 6.1 for the XDA Stellar

I thought of doing this but I wasn't sure if the 'start.exe' would fail cleanly when it couldn't find the installation directory.

It would be advisable to remove your storage card before any upgrade, the customisation would have installed and you could insert the storage card for Tomtom to automatically install.

Re: O2 Release Windows Mobile 6.1 for the XDA Stellar

I've been using the new rom for a week now and im still pleased. The Stellar does appear to be running better on 6.1 than it did on 6.0. I did install Dutty's Black 10 button Comm Manager (Available in the Kaiser download section) to make the comm manager look like it did in 6.0 and that works fine. All in all, good job O2!

I do think that the O2 roms have improved immensely over the last year or so, I have had no complaints.

Indeed seconded completely best standard ROMs around - IMHO of course!

Re: O2 Release Windows Mobile 6.1 for the XDA Stellar

I'm not sure I'd go that far, but I certainly wouldn't feel the need to reflash any of the Kaiser ROMs (with the exception probably of Orange). The rest are all pretty stable and the operators seem to have got out of the habit of bundling masses of junk with their ROMs too (again, with the exception of Orange).
