Re: T-Mobile G1 Manual leaked
Am I the only one who thinks it's a very ugly phone?

Re: T-Mobile G1 Manual leaked
Ah; am I the only person who doesn't think it ugly and even it I did I don't gaze at it lovingly, I only need it to work properly. The Touch HD looks better and has a sort of evolutionary pedigree but later, who knows? I'm puzzled by the GPS. There's a chip but does it seem likely that Tom Tom or Co-Pilot could be installed?

Re: T-Mobile G1 Manual leaked
The sat nav should work but it might need to be the version Tomtom run on their standalone devices as it is a similar operating system.

Re: T-Mobile G1 Manual leaked
This demonstrates my naïveté on things computer-ish and why the site is so helpful. Interesting about the operating system though. I thought Google were trumpeting it as their own all new creation.

Re: T-Mobile G1 Manual leaked
No its not Google's creation its been developed by some Open Source group but Google did put a lot of money and "guidance" into it - from what I have read.
Not really a direction I would be comfortable going down - a lot of people have issues with MS's secretiveness of their code but I would rather that than have every Tom , Dick and Harry ... and Jane ( must be PC about this!) having access to the code and any potential loopholes especially in its early days.
