Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Hi imneveral0ne and welcome to 4WM

I would have thought that on the Mogul you should be able to install TCPMP player and run it, you do not need the patch that is for the Hermes, and you should not need to make any settings changes. Your best bet would be to uninstall TCPMP and the patch/fix (if installed) and reload TCPMP and it should run ok.

By the way the Imageon settings are not applicable to the Mogul as it does not have this in its processor.

Question Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Hi Boz.

I hope you can help me out with a little bug I just came accross with TCPMP.

I just watched a short vid and then went to copy over and remove two rouge pics from the camera that were in memory and put them on the card.

This is what happened. I could open all my pics in both places like I always do with TCPMP as all of it's files are checked off in settings. Once I copied these two pics over and I went back to delete them I started to have a bug. I first tried to open the pics to make sure I was deleting the right ones and a TCPMP ERROR window came up. It said...

ATI IMAGEON: Out of video memory! Retry after a soft-reset or chose a different video driver!

This is the weird part. I tried SKTools to free up ram, Stopped ALL in system memory, SR twice, and no joy. Even weirder thing is that I can still open and play my vids ya!

SO if you could help that would be great as I am hitting my head against a at this point.

If there is no fix(Ithink there must be as it worked before right), could you please tell me what file association to uncheck in TCPMP so the stock WM program will open the pictures from now on? The files just come up as file type unknown for me properties, and I looked for a gif setting in tcpmp but found none. You would think that the device that mad ethe pics would at least be programed smart enough to know what the heck they are LOL.

Thanks Boz.

The problem you have is trying to play a GIF file which is an animated file that TCPMP will not play, which is the same as I use in my avatar. You should be able to go to my documents>pictures and open it there to view it.

You are quite correct, and I do & have done that as well.

The problem lies in the picture viewer mode when I can see the thumbs of the pics, there is no menu option to check what the file is named that I can find to double check that the files were named correctly(I think these may have been switched with others somewhere along the line).

Also when I go to memory with explorer and I am now able to see the file names, I am NOT able to see the thumb of the pic, I only see TCPMP icons, and so far am not able to open the pic from there.

So I can not delete, and I also can not verify the file name from within pic veiwer right? So I am deleting blindly in explorer. I feel a game of russian roulette coming on unless you have a solution of how to know which are the right files I want to delete from the many.

This may be a lame error on WM's part to not have addressed this properly, hmmm.

Help if you can, it is appreciated, I don't want to lose friends pics that I can only see once a year or less.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Just want to say that this thread and the OP rocks. I just got HSDPA and was playing with Orb, but I hate WMP. I uninstalled my TCPMP v.71 and followed the instructions and now I can play the orb files perfectly.

Thanks heaps!

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here

Hi,

I'm having problems streaming videos. Cannot get youtube e.g. to work, get the "address type is unknown" error. I've seen many other people asking about this but I have not found any working solution for this yet. I've tried all recommended fixes but without success... what now?

Things I've tried to install include flash 7, TCPMPflvplugin v0.4.2, copy some dll file to windows dir (can't remember which one any more)...

If I open the link directly in "sreaming media" it works...
