Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Thanks boz,
but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I still get the same error message. I don't think it has anything to do with the players not being able to stream the content. It seems that the problem is that the players aren't accessed when clicking the link, i.e. they aren't launched for playback...
I've tried this with opera but with same results, however the error msg contains more details. The links seem to begin with rtsp://... Does this mean that the protocol rtsp isn't accessing any media players at the moment?
Thanks for any additional help

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
I have a Mogul, and the video is not running more than 1 frame a second. I installed the ATI patch, but it does not show up as one of the settings pages. I did a soft reset, to no avail. I tried reinstalling in different orders but that didn't work either.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Hi sroussey and welcome to 4WM
Part of your problem is the Mogul! You need to uninstall the TCPMP player, and the fix for it. Now reinstall TCPMP only, do not make the settings adjustments and just run your video clip and you should be fine.
The problem was that the settings and the fix were for the Hermes that has a problem with this player, your Mogul will run it straight out of the box.

Hi, it seems your problem does lie in the link address, I would email Avot HERE they should respond quickly and may give you the answer to both problems.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Alright I mailed the avot crew! Hope for the best...
Boz,
video streams work for you, right? I searched the reg for rtsp, and I got a few interesting hits. Could you, or anyone with working streams, check what values you have on these:
(1)
HLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/URLProtocols/rtsp/Default (Set as default key's value)
(2)
HCR/rtsp/Shell/Open/Command/Default -> Value data: StreamingPlayer.exe %1 (Set as default key's value)
(3)
HCR/PROTOCOLS/Handler/rtsp/CLSID -> Value name: CLSID, Value data: {EA48DF9C-1362-41F2-BD83-B97507F9484B}
This one has a lot of stuff in it, but it could mean anything so I don't know... HLM/Software/HTC/Streaming
But (1) and (2) would be interesting/helpful, so if anybody has a few spare minutes..
Thnx again!

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Just haven't got the time to check at the moment as I am running another rom and testing some software. I have had another thought though! How are you trying to stream is it by 3G, wi-fi?

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
I've tried over both, with the same result... But it would be very nice if you could check your settings. But I'm in no hurry, can get my daily dose of break etc. on my laptop.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
What do I need to do so that TCPMP will be used when clicking on a web video link?
For instance, m.youtube.com will load HTC's Streaming Media v2.10h player. I am using WM6 on a TyTn.
Thanks.
