Here they are. WMV/WMA Support in tcpmp/coreplayer
There are 2 different sets, and you only need one, I personally find one set to give better performance than the other.
1) Firstly these are the old wmv codecs from windows mobile5, 2 files just copy them into your windows folder, and tcpmp/coreplayer will now play wmv files

2) - RECOMENDED The second set of files has 3 dlls, copy these into the tcpmp or coreplayers folder and huzzah, wma/wmv/wmv9 support. I found that this second set of files- which were supplied by a frenchman called geard2003 work alot better.

However, all said and done. I am still not 100% happy.
Coreplayer advertises wmv9 playback.. see
CorePlayer For Windows Mobile/ PocketPC - MobiHand Software
I spoke with betaboy and the other devs, they confirm no wmv playback possible, and plugins dont work in coreplayer. ohh really?.. wmv is only listed because it maybe possible in future releases :P thats the way to run a business, sigh... Anyway nvm that shinanigans, they developed a good app.
The reason I'm not 100% happy is that I have some wmv9 video files.. some at 250kbps these playback fine (with pack2).. and some at 400kbps and these playback very badly.. I guess due to the unofficial dll's being used. if you run these in windows media player you get maybe 2fps.. the first files listed 5-7 fps and the reccomened files approx 10-20 fps.
I wonder if we can get hold of some wm6 wmv codecs or access the one thats in the windows folder called wmv9decoder.dll which I guess is the one we want to do our thing.
I and I know many others would be soo greatfull if we could get this working properly..
