Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Hi Boz,
Sorry if this has been asked. I am running my own flavor of the dopod rom, (posted on a well known alternative site) which has a nice feature of being able to run media player, HTC music player, and the old version of TCPMP (.72 I think) in "sleep" mode. Meaning you can use the power off button, and music will continue playing. This new version no longer does that. (The other apps still work.) Do you happen to know which registry settings might be involved or if there is another fix?
Thanks,

Hi, that is a new one on me, perhaps someone else will come up with the answer.

TCPMP .81 Please help with streaming video
Hello,
I am new to the PDA world. Few weeks ago I got myself Eten X500+ cellphone/PDA with the VGA screen and 400Mh cpu.
I downloaded and installed TCPMP v.81 and also installed all the patches (thanks to this forum). I have no problem watching regular video files that I have on my SD card, but whenever I am trying to watch streaming video it chopes frames and plays it very slow.
I connected to the interenet using my home WiFi (have no problem watching the same video on a laptop) or connecting to Internet via USB. Either connection produces the same result - choppy and slow video. Can anyone help me find out how I can solve this issue?
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to 4wm
I have moved your post into the TCPMP thread where you will get a better response.
To be honest I do not think there is much you can do about this, it will play back ok on your laptop because it is much more powerful than a ppc. I am surprised the patch worked as this was made for the Hermes processor with the imageon chipset.

Re: !! (UPDATED) Hermes TCPMP v0.81 unofficial hybrid media player + all codecs here
Hello. I went through what you explained and I seem to not be able to install TCPMP v0.81 on my Treo 700p running Palm OS. Any ideas?

Hi, I am afraid this will only work on the Windows Mobile operating system.

Hi innovativekiwi and welcome to 4WM
It is a cab file, extract it from the folder you downloaded, place it onto you device and tap on it to install.

Hi innovativewiki, welcome to 4WM
The download system here does not work directly to your device. So what you need to do is download the file on a PC, and then you will receive a cab file. Transfer the cab to your device, then execute the cab on the device, not the PC.
