Re: Newest 6 Button HTC Home plugin+customisation pack cab files for all devices (14-

Alright guys,

Glad to be a part of you all... I've signed up here yesterday, but have been looking at the new plug in for a bout a week now. I have no idea how to run it on my wizard...

I have HTC Home Plugin v1.0. I downloaded the 6 button cab file. I installed that one. Nothing. I removed that, removed the HTC plugin and tried to insdtall the 6 button alone. Nothing again... I tried installing the repacked version of the 6 button, nothing yet again.

During that time, I have the battery status (a nifty little addon that works wonders!) that keeps on telling me there was an error with omapclock and needs to be closed...

And I keep looking for the HHC plugin in the program menu, it's not there. Words cannot dcescribe the frustration I'm going through here...

What am I supposed to to do...? I'm seconds away from scrapping the phone, formatting it all over or just whip it out the window; And it's a long way down 14 stories! Whatch your heads!

Hi Phil and welcome to 4WM

Sorry to hear you are having trouble, if you are running Windows mobile 5 try this version of the Home plugin available HERE

Has anyone else noticed when you sync your device via a USB connection the ring mode chages from normal to vibrate. It only happens when you have changes during the sync process.

Re: Newest 6 Button HTC Home plugin+customisation pack cab files for all devices (14-

Hey Boz,

Thanx for the link. I'll tell yuou now that it won't work; I've upgraded my wizard to WM6 not long ago...

So today is an even more frustrating day. My phone screws up on all venues... The screen goes dark after only a few seconds, the whole touchpad locks in less than 15 seconds and worst of all - my dialpad doesn't function properly! It doesn't even retain any of the in/out calls that were made since I've tried to upgrade.

Unless anyone can help me out, I think scrapping it altogether and formatting the phone is the best way out. But I soooo wanted the 6 button htc plugin! It looked reeeaaaally cool, especially that some people on this board posted that it looked great on their wizard!

I'm bummed.

If by 'formatting the phone' you mean a hard reset and start again, then I agree. If you have a backup from before today's developments that might be worth restoring.

Hard reset it is!

That's exactly what I think I'm going to do.

But then again, I don't know if it's going to work. I mean I upgraded the rom. I heard Touchflo and 6 button rom works with a lower rom, is that true? Mine is IPL / SPL 2.26.

By the way, I have no backup from previous versions. The only thing is hard reset to stock. Ohh well...

Hard reset and it will bring the rom back to how it was when it was installed, the 6 button plugin and cube should work with your device if it is running WM6. If you continue to have problems after hard restting your device I would consider reflashing the rom or installing a different version.

Re: Newest 6 Button HTC Home plugin+customisation pack cab files for all devices (14-

Hey boz,

No need for that... I don't know how, but I managed to install it in the end! I installed touchflo with cube. I wonder if I could use the 6button plug in on top of that???

One thing though, I don't know why but the battery status plugin gives me problems lately with any platform. It just doesn't work, screws up on the overclock and gives me those messages like "cannot execute repllog..." . Instead I reinstalled the touchflo with cube and left it as is.
