wondering if I should try another Rom? Seems most obvious place to start, even if the existing rom is unlikely to be causing a 'permission' issue...

That would have been my next suggestion that it maybe a rom conflict, but I would try the soft reset first.

Done that, will try another Rom. can you (slightly off topic) recommend a good backup util? love this rom apart from its permission issues... will then report back on

There is one more thing to try actually, install this sdkcerts.cab file this may give the required permissions.

I use and recommend Sprite backup but it can only be used on the current rom you are running, you cannot flash a different rom and use the previous roms backup or you could have big problems!

ok, now running Schap's 430 (very nice too - thanks)
the cube cab installed ok, but running and config is gonna take some reading...! I can only open cube contacts area (now and again by fluke) Maybe I have fat fingers...

Pleased you are sorted now, so it must have been a conflict with the rom.

Try brushing the screen lightly, and as you have probably seen you can change the screen pressure threshold.

Sincerely, thankyou for your assistance. I'll read the threads fully and try to figure it all out. One last thing. Every soft reset I see "Ftouchflo already running" error. Again off topic slightly ? Donation on the way.

Go into Schaps configuration tool included in the rom and check the Touchflo settings for the problem you are having.

Thanks for the donation it is much appreciated, every penny counts as they say, the costs for running this site keep creeping up and Daron (windows) works hard behind the scenes keeping us afloat.

The Cube looks and works great! Can't wait to show it to my buds at work. But I too am getting the Audio Manager error. I have gone thru this thread about ten times, but I don't see a fix other than erase everything and reinstall, which I did with no success. I have a brand-spankin' new Tilt with ROM v 1.57.502.2 (I can't find a working link to the newer version, and besides, I'm new at this and don't want to mess around with the ROM unless you tell me I have to).

Here is what I did:

hard reset to erase all previous work
soft reset when message says custom AT&T apps to begin installing in 3 seconds (bloatware bad!)
Copy 3 music files and all necessary cab files to Tilt
Launch Windows Media and discover sound files
Play one song
Install Total Commander
soft reset
Install Audio Manager
soft reset
Launch Audio Manager and play one song (Audion Manager works fine from Start Menu)
Install HTC Cube FTouchFlo
soft reset
Open Cube (works great!)
Press "Music" icon, get this error:
The file 'AudioManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
Close Cube
Launch Audio Manager via Start Menu and play one song (still works using Start Menu)
Try Cube -> Music again, get same error
Make recommended registry changes (note: 800 for Pressure Threshold works best for me)
Soft reset, just for grins
repeat actions since last soft reset with same results
Reinstall Audio Manager by clicking on cab file again
soft reset
Open Cube --> Music, get same error
Close Cube
Launch Audio Manager via Start Menu, play one song
