Re: !!! Updated HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - easy install .cab file
Hi 1st time here, downloaded the Cube to unlocked Orange SPV M3100 & WM6 'Black Majic' Satin Black ROM . Works really well, great fun but need to increase sensitivity of the screen. Looked in the Registry and in HKLM/Drivers there is no Touch Panel folder. Looked through the rest and can't find the Pressure Threshold value to change. Any ideas where it might be? Many thanks for all your advice about making the cube work.
Who needs an I-Phone now?

Re: !!! Updated HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - easy install .cab file
Hi husky, welcome to 4WM.
If it is possible to change the screen sensitivity (it may not be) then this will have to be done in the registry, and the keys may vary by device. I suggest posting this question as a new thread in the Hermes part of the forum to get an answer.

Hi husky and welcome to 4WM
I take it you have installed the cube that is posted up on this site, if so the values should show in the registry. Could you please tell me which registry editor you are using to attempt this.

Hi Boz

There is one small problem that has been noted, which is when using the 6 Button HTC home plugin the Touch Cube will stop the contacts tab from showing.
To get it back remove the following registry entry using Resco Explorer or similar.
HKLM/Software/OEM/MASD/Quickdial
You can adjust the pressure needed to run the cube by registry editing the following value using Resco Explorer or Similar.
HKLM>Drivers>TouchPanel>Pressure Threshold and change the existing value to 400 (high) or 600 (Very high)

How do I edit registry? What does that mean? (obviously a novice here!) I'm using Tytn2 trying to get the cube to work.

Re: !!! Updated HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - easy install .cab file
Hi
I've just taken a HTC TYTN II on a Vodafone contract, they badge it a Vodafone 1615. Great looking phone, more of a PDA really. Diappointed that their appears to be no TouchFlo elements at all. Theres an option in the settings screen to enable sliding sounds, but I haven't found ANY evidence of the HTC software at all. I've since read that the 3d cube stuff is not in it and on reading this thread I was hopeful that this might add some similar functionality as TouchFlo is reportedly included in my handset.
I've installed this cab from the mobile device and it installed and reset , but I can't see any evidence of it.
Can anybody help me please? I've got a 14 day cool off period on this phone and I'm so far very disappointed with its lack of fancy stuff. Its just a PDA with a phone and I wanted something more stylish, akin to what I'd seen of it on the HTC site.
Thanks
eMicros

Re: !!! Updated HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - easy install .cab file
Hi BruthazKeepah and welcome.
Every Pocket PC has a registry and it contains all the information about your device, think of it as a database. Every time you install software or make a change to anything the registry is updated accordingly.
Altering values in the registry will then change the behaviour of program so it could be called hacking or tweaking, getting it wrong can cause problems but nothing a hard reset shouldn't cure.
Try Resco Explorer to change the registry settings, it is available on a free trial and once you have it running you will easily work out where the values given to alter the registry are as the main screen starts with a list and HKLM (HKey Local Machine) is in that list of four start points.
Find Resco Explorer here (click on here).

Hi eMicros and welcome
The v1615 does come with TouchFlo which is different to the cube, touchflo enables you to scroll through your contacts, Web page, Windows folder or anything else that is more than a page long. You can achieve this by just swiping the screen up or down with your finger from the top or the bottom of the screen and the page will spin.
The cube you have installed will not show up anywhere only in remove programs in settings, to get the cube up and running just swipe from the very bottom to the top of the screen lightly with your finger, and once showing do the same to the left or right to rotate it. To close the cube just do the opposite to opening it!
