!!! Updated HTC Touch Cube should work on any WM6 device - easy install .cab file !!!

Following on from the last released Touch Cube this is the latest, fastest and easiest to install Touch Cube yet. It is a cab file installation just install, soft reset and you are done! I have tested this on an HTC Kaiser, HTC Tytn and an HTC Trinity and it worked perfectly on all of them, and I see no reason that it shouldn't work on most QVGA devices running WM6.

Please note you need to have HTC Audio manager installed (if you have not already got it on your device) for the music part of the cube to work before you install the cube, you can download that HERE .

Credit as usual must go to the developers of the cube they are:-
-xplode for the new cube, Duttythroy, Raven_coda & Kona_Mtbkr at xda-developers for the hard work they contributed.




To use the cube just swipe your finger or nail from the bottom edge to the top edge of the screen to activate, swipe left or right to spin the cube, and swipe from top edge to bottom edge to close it, easy or what!


There is one small problem that has been noted, which is when using the 6 Button HTC home plugin the Touch Cube will stop the contacts tab from showing.

To get it back remove the following registry entry using Resco Explorer or similar.

HKLM/Software/OEM/MASD/Quickdial

You can adjust the pressure needed to run the cube by registry editing the following value using Resco Explorer or Similar.

HKLM>Drivers>TouchPanel>Pressure Threshold and change the existing value to 400 (high) or 600 (Very high)

Works great Ive been testing it on my Tilt since last night around 8pm. Its wicked but my only beef is the response time when using your finger, kindda laggy but not my biggest issue. Im still figuring the best way to flip the cube without selecting the app.. seems to b my only proble,. Cheers mate, nice cab.

Glad you like it, it shouldn't be laggy though, it works fine for me on three different devices. Mind you from my observations the Tilt does seem a little different to devices of the same ilk to say the least!

You need to start at the edge of the screen more perhaps to flip it?

hi there, im using xda trion and ive downloaded the file but it's in a winrar file. was able to extract it and transferred it to my pda but i couldnt install it. there was no installation icon among the files. where should i install it? pls help. thanks

I'm gonna try this out on my Trinity now!

Jonty, don't extract it, just copy the file to your device and run it from there.

I've installed this but it's reall unresponsive..I mean, it takes me about 20 attempts to get the cube up! Am I doing something wrong?

Same here, you're meant to install Audio Manager in the link, but even after installing that I've had no luck..I reinstalled the cube so that the Audio Manager was installed first but still doesn't work?

Ooo nevermind sorted! Just edit the file location in the settings.

Just connect to activesync then drag and drop the file to your devices storage card, then tap on it within your device to run it.

I haven't no, but I have sussed it out now no worries..all working fine !

Just one last question, is there a way to turn the display off on Audio Manager like with WMP to save battery life?
