Re: Tytn 2 on orange wifi set up problem

Is your router security enabled for wireless devices? If so you may need to get hold of the WEP code (or whatever security you have) and enter that when you set it up.

If you remove all WiFi settings, and then turn WiFi off and on on your device, give it a few seconds and it should detect your wireless network. Then you can press connect, if it is security enabled it will then ask you for a code.

Re: Tytn 2 on orange wifi set up problem

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

Most connection problems with wifi are down to the settings. Check how your routers wifi is set up and make sure your phone is the same. You are looking for the security and encription settings, stuff like WEP or WPA/PSK, Open or Shared key. Also check that the SSID (thats the network name if you like) is what you think it is and you are not trying to connect to next doors router! Finaly check what the network key or passphrase is, if the router doesnt show you it, reset it to be sure. I would think this would all be different and separete to your broadband settings and passwords, but i dont know how Orange do things.

Re: Tytn 2 on orange wifi set up problem

Much depends on how old the Orange Router is.

The earlier ones had strict limitatins on the number of installed clients, and needed a special configuration process to add new ones. Also they were WEP only, which is not satisfactory nowadays due to the ease with which it can be broken.

Your Orange username and password are irrelevant as they are 'upstream' from the wireless client connections. As teh above said, just turn WiFi on, on the PPC and wait for the Connecting wizard.
