Slide2Unlock better than the default Windows screen lock, and customisable too!
Fed up with the default Windows screen lock? Then try this sliding unlocker, it gives a locking screen over your Today screen. Turn your device off, turn it back on and you need to swipe the bar with your finger to unlock it, no more accidental screen presses in your pocket!
It can be customised with your own pictures too!
I have made and included some basic coloured wallpapers for landscape and portrait modes in black, red, green, dark blue and yellow in the download zip file that can be used, plus a "read me" file giving installation instructions with the Slide2Unlock download package.
The sliding unlocker should work on any QVGA Windows Mobile 5 or 6 device, it comes with the picture as standard in the first screenshot, to use your own picture as I have in the 2nd screenshot follow these instructions:-
Install the "Slide2Unlock" application to your device first and soft reset, to use your own picture it must be a .jpeg file and exactly 240x320 for portrait and 320x240 for landscape mode, you must rename the selected picture to just wallpaper (for portrait) or wallpaperL (for landscape) for it to work.
To install on your device use the built in file explorer and go to program files > Slide2Unlock > GFX > Res and replace the existing "wallpaper" with the one of your choice in either portrait or landscape mode or both, but do not forget to rename as above!
Soft reset after installation!!

I have put together all the pieces needed to customise Slide2Unlock, in the package is the Slide2Unlock application with a clock and language pack. All come with read me files.

Been running this for a while now - its not a secure lock but great if you wnat to stop screen push syndrome! i.e. listening to music whilst walking etc.

Yes it has been around a while and it is handy. There is now a newer version ( 21-02-2008 ) which allows you to change the clocks, use gif animation and the ability to show the weather, all for the technically minded though, it will appear in post #2 as soon as time allows!

I wouldn't dream of doing childish stunts like that. 
Besides that is a 2000 model and mine is a 2001.
