Hey every1 this is a great thread.

I'm new to 4WM and joined to DL the HTC Home Plugin and the HHC. Incidentally I've found loads of useful threads for the Orbit 2 so I'll be looking to read up all the info soon.

Back to HTC Home and HHC - All installed and working but a couple of questions if I may: -

1. What does the Automatic setting on the Profiles tab do as I cannot figure out if it is configurable?
2. On Weather if I updated the data on Friday, does it continue to show Friday on the next day until I update again?
3. Any idea how much data the Weather update uses? I do not have a data plan so using my PC Sync for now.

I am pleased you find the site useful, in answer to your questions:-

1. Automatic settings should use your default settings.

2. Yes you need to update daily to get the next days weather.

3. It will use around 80k of data to update the weather, so used daily you would be better sticking to activesync or it will run up an expensive data bill if you have no allowance.

I'm still unable to get my weather tab working. Any ideas? I've added a custom city as Belmar, NJ with USA & 07719 as the country and zip. When it tries to load it just says "Unable to retrieve data for selected city. Select here to retry." and retrying just repeats that. If anyone can help me get this working I'd be very grateful!! Thank you!

I've been enjoying this thread for a while now, since installing the 6 button HTC home pluging and the HHC, on my Samsung i780.

I got most of my questions and problems resolved by searching this thread - Great job!!!

I still have the following problems -
(from major to minor)

1. Every now and then (after a reset, an appointment notification or start, or just like that) the ringer turns itself to Vibrate only.
The profile remains "Normal" and when I reselect it the ringer goes back to normal, but it seems as if the profile has changed to automatic or someting else...

2. The brightness button doesn't work for my device - with or without the fix. (this isn't unique to HTC Home but still annoying) any solution for that?

3. The Audio manager doesn't work - it sais a program component is missing or not signed in. I tried to install the SDKCert but to no vail.

4. I've been trying to use the ripple3 skin but it doesn't appear as in your post. it gives a blue-green background with no ripples.
I don't have a totally black theme (only a light grey which gives zero to little visibility to all text an icons)

5. If I try and change the order of the Tabs through HHC, the order in HHC seems to be the one I selected but in HTC Home the order remains - today, contacts, weather, programs, profiles, music. Whatever I do.

Hi eranro and welcome to 4WM

Good to have you here and I am glad you enjoy what we do here.

Let me first say that the i780 is the cause of your problems, the device runs WM6 granted but it is the screen size causing the trouble. The 6 button plugin, the customiser pack and especially the ripple theme are all made for 320x240 screen sizes and you are using it on 320x320 screen, that is why it cannot display properly.

The vibrate problem relates to appointments stuck in the notification queue but can be sorted by running MemMaid on your device and clearing the queue.

The audio player, brightness fix and tab order may also be down to the foibles of the Samsung operating system, and is all I can suggest is to soft reset and then try installing them, and soft reset afterwards.
