I'll try reinstalling the after soft reset.
Could you please tell me - should I reinstall the entire plugin / customiser / brightness fix,
or Is there a seperate installaition for the audio manager?
(with the HTC Home 1.0 plugin I tried before the audio manager worked OK)

I am not that familiar with your device, if it doesn't come installed with the audio manager I would install that before anything else you can find it here, and try the 6 button plugin I think I posted a few posts back, and yes uninstall all related apps before starting again.

Don't forget to get rid of the notification queue with Memmaid before reinstalling though.

Hey boz, thanks for the suggestion. I'm running into a problem with that page. When i try to get Pocket Hosts from the Handango site it says

'Pocket Hosts' is currently unavailable and cannot be purchased.
Please select another product. .

Any thoughts on how I can get a copy of it? I have an AT&T Tilt. I tried telling it I had an HTC 8925 and I got the same error. Again, any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hi,

I've uninstalled everything,
I tried the audio manager - it fails on my device, so I uninstalled it.
I then installed MemMaid and cleared the notification queue, Then I reinstalled the 6 button plugin and HHC.
I didn't find the link in the post you refer to, so I tried again with the second link in your original message.

The problems persist - the device changes profile on a whim from ringer to vibrate from silent to ringer or to vibrate.

It also seems that sometimes when I start my display the home screen displays a Tab which is different from the one I set before closing the display

Once when starting my display,I actually saw the Home pluging flick through three different tabs before landing on the programs tab...
A real ghost in the machine...

could it be that something is causing a different profile to be "pressed" when the display is shut?

Should I try the 5 button plugin so that at least my ringer won't mute or start when I don't expect it

I can't see any way around these problems I am afraid, it must be the Samsung operating system and the screen size. All I can advise now is to keep trying the options available, sorry.

Howdy folks. I'm new to the site here and have really enjoyed this thread, so much so that it persuaded me to isntall the HTC Home plugin v2.1 with a view to loading HHC afterwards.

However, here's the problem. I installed the HTC Home Plugin v2.1 (patched by N2A/Hermes brightness fix) from pocketemu, as directed by an earlier thread but the brightness button didn't work! I figured that maybe I should have installed the orginal v2.1 plugin (without the brightness fix), so I attempted to uninstall the plugin but it didn't uninstall properly. In fact the only thing that did uninstall was the name of the plugin from the Remove Programs list! Everything else is still there (HTC Home folder with all files, HTC Home tab in Today screen, different task bar running along top of screen). When I tried to uninstall it, I hadn't unchecked the 'HTC home' setting from the today settings, so I don't know if the phone was still using the plugin files during the uninstall which is why it failed...??

Can someone help me uninstall this plugin so that I can start again?!! Many thanks!!

Have you tried a soft reset? If the device was using the files it might just need a "reboot" to get rid of it properly.

Hi pavster and welcome to 4WM

I would reinstall the same plugin and then uninstall after removing it from the today settings. If that fails use a trial version of Pocket Mechanics Pro and remove it. I hope that helps.

I've tried that, bu when I follow the steps and it has me goto accuweather, instead of seeing a location code like they do, this is what I get:
