I probably do not have HTC 6, how do you check to see what version of HTC Home I have.

I tried to download HTC 6 Button from this site but was always diverted to: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

I could not find the link to download the HTC 6 Button.

I've installed this and am loving it. Thanks muchly!

One issue I've noticed is that since the installation, whenever I make a phone call, I get a note, with details of the number I called, on disconnecting. I cannot find an option to turn this off. Can you help, please?

Another query: it looks like I've got WM6 on my Orbit 2. Is there a WM6.1? If so, is it worth installing this? Where can I get it from?

Hi, that is an odd issue I have not come across and does not happen on my Orbit 2. Are you sure you haven't installed another application that is causing this problem?

Yes you are running WM6, there is a WM 6.1 rom for your device could you please open a new thread in the Polaris forum and I or we will help you out.

There is now a cab file fix available for the brightness tab in the launcher it should work as soon as you install it after a soft reset, if not try deleting the backlight link from HTC Home on your device, add the first backlight link and it should be ok.

Also included in the download file below for the backlight fix is a SDK Certs cab which should be installed only by people having problems installing the 6 Button HTC Home plugin onto their devices.

The first post has been updated with the download.

Your .cab was my first one, in 8yrs with Sprint, that I have ever installed. From the A600; 6700; Mogul; and now the touch, I have always upgraded to get the latest and greatest hi-tech phone, but didn't know what you guys were talking about. I have been attending a MS It Academy for 2 yrs and was finally ready to take the plunge.

The installation went off without a hitch. I am no longer a .cab/customizer virgin, my cherry has been popped.

That's the good news is the good news; here's the bad news. I purchased the sprint ultimate TV/Radio package and I could not receive any of the premium channels. I know it's not because of your .cab, because it hasn't worked since day one. However, after spending over 1hr with tech support, I was told to take the phone back to a Sprint repair center.

Boz (or anyone else), here's where I need your help. Since my phone is still under warranty, do I need to remove the 6 button program before I take it in for repair. If I do have to remove the progeam, how do I remove the customization from the touch?

I really appreciate all the posts and time that you guys, who REALLY know what they are doing, provide for for those of us that don't know.

Hi Boz, I get the black icon but when running it i get the error that Wirral mentioned, any ideas? also slightly off topic, is ther anything i can do to change the horrible orange dialler?

I am glad you are up and running ok, well done.

I wouldn't worry about removing the Home plugin and customizer when taking it in for repair you are allowed to install software onto your device, as long as you have the original rom you will be ok. But if you do want to remove them just hard reset the device before repair or remove by going to settings>system>remove programs and uninstall them there.
