Hi there - 1st post, and thanks for all efforts made by people with much more know how than myself.
Could you please enlighten me as to how you achieve the BT,WiFi,Phone status to be displayed, and how you change the Calender/Contacts section to something different.
Thanks in advance
Lee

first i copied the Home plugin to my device and ran the cab file, this installed the program but did advise that it may not work correctly as it was for a previous version of windows, however the plugin appears to have worked successfully as i was able to set the tabs etc, i then did a soft reset( powered off, using the on/off button)
i then copied and installed the sdk/backlight fix - i did this as my previous attempts with running the customiser hadn't worked - this appeared also to go through fine, another reset,
i then copied and installed the HHC Customiser Final cab which installed succesfully,
i went into programs and selected the HHC black icon, which informed me it would unpack the packages, this took some time, after which i get an installation complete message.
i then get the first time message assuming that this uses an english version of the htc home plugin.
i click ok and get the following error:
cannot detect homw plugin version, defaulting to v1.5 settings,
i click ok and it starts to think after which i get the following error:
an unexpected error has occurred in homecust.exe.
select quit and then restart this program or select details for more information.
the system cannot find the file specified.
if i click on details i get the following:
homecust.exe
FileNotFoundException
The system cannot find the file specified.
at
OpenNETCF.Drawing.Imaging.IImagingFactory.CreateIm ageFromFile()
at homecust.homecust.BuildPreview()
at homecust.homecust..ctor()
at homecust.Program.Main()
i then press quit and it switches back to my program menu.
i the switch it off and try again, same error occurs, have tried removing and re-installing tried reset after each stage, but still no joy.
can you help please Boz

Hello there and welcome to 4WM
The theme is ripple3 which I have attached, the clock and first row of 6 icons was achieved with the HTC Home plugin and customiser pack available in the first post of this thread. For the second row of icons I used O2 Plus 2.3 available here and use the other attachment for the bluetooth, wifi and phone switches. You just need to make them appear on your today screen in your today item settings.
Once installed click on the O2 Plus icon then options>shortcuts>add/delete and the icons on view will be the icons shown on the today screen just play around until you have what you need, and make sure the shortcuts box is ticked in the today tab of the O2 Plus settings. Hope that helps.
I have reduced the size of the font in your post it was a bit in your face!

It seems to me that there is a problem with the 6 Button plugin you are using, are you running WM5 or 6? If you are running WM6 try one of the other plugins in the list and install the certs cab file in the backlight download and install this before installing anything else. There have been problems with the installation on the Tilt.

Re: !!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !
Hi!
I downloaded the file from the first 'HERE' link that is in post 1 by boz (see below) and installed it on my Orbit 2.
6 Button HTC Home plugins for WM6/6.1 available HERE , HERE and HERE
It installed successfully, and I've assigned programs and added TodayAgenda, but I seem to have the 3 button version. That is, there are only 3 large icons below the clock and smaller Messaging, SMS and phone log icons.
They are the Home, Weather, and Launcher icons.
Can anyone tell me if I've got something wrong, or perhaps somehow downloaded the wrong cab?
Thanks,
Ian

Re: !!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !
Hi Ian, which device are you running? I ask because I wondered if you already have a version of HTC Home on your device.
If you go to settings>today there should be an extra tab for HTC Home so make sure all six are ticked, and see in today items what is actually enabled to appear on your today screen.

Re: !!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !
Thanks first of all for the excellent addins and information. I'm hoping you can solve a minor but annoying problem on my Orbit 2.
I have installed your O2+ addin which is excellent. However I now have two O2 icons at the bottom of the Today Screen, one for the new package and one for the old. I've looked and looked but can't find where to remove icons from this bar (it has the battery icon and the comm manager icon). I also couldn't find where to remove the old O2 control panel which shows running programs.
Can you help?
