Hi pavb, I have moved your post into the 6 button thread for you.

It will be fine on your Orbit 2 I run it on mine without problem, if you look at the first post in this thread and follow the instructions you will have no problems, I would install the second version of the 6 button plugin. You can install the customiser if you wish but install it onto your storage card to save memory this will allow you to add your own personal touch to your device.

It is all easily removed from your device in settings>remove programs, I hope that helps.

thanks Boz, just quick one i see there are 3 links for the 6 button pluggin, i assume this is the one you are talking about that i should install. Are all the links for the same thing right so i can download from either one?

The links are for 3 different versions, use the second (middle one) and you should be fine.

thanks boz will do, just for info is there any difference in what you get with these versions or is it just a case of different version for different handsets but same home screen?

It is as you say the best version for your Orbit 2 without having problems loading it, they are basically the same yes.

thanks Boz, i'll download the middle one tonight and try it out and then will probably do the customisation one later this week. Just one point i noticed alot of talk about the brightness not working etc i am assuming this is with the HTC home plugin and not the HHC plugin. Would i need to download the brightness fix cab as well? or is the version of HTC home you mention all ok for my orbit 2, I know you are using the orbit 2 as well is that version all ok on yours.

The brightness fix is for the 6 button plugin, but it is only needed to fix a non functioning tab button for brightness and even if you do not install it your device will not be affected in anyway.

cheers boz, as you can see from all the questions i am new to all this cab stuff

last question promise (want to be able to do this first time and know what to do if hit any problems). Read that theres a chance one of the tabs may not show on my orbit 2 and to fix that i would need to make changes in the registry. However i don;t have any registry tool. Is it definate that i will only get 5 tabs rather than 6 on my orbit or is it just pot luck, and if i do have one missing is the only way to fix it via a registry tool?

Do you know if all the versions you posted give you less tabs on the orbit 2 device?

Best thing to do is just give it a go and see if you get 5 or 6! If you need a registry tool I've heard this is meant to be quite good.
