activesync deleted my calender - what to do?

Hello

In options in Activesync 4.5 I activated that I wanted to syncronize my calender on HTC s730 with my PC in order to get the calenderposts from the cellphone to outlook (winxp - outlook 2000).

The phone started to syncronize and after it finished all calenderposts were deleted. No posts in outlook (there wasn't any before sync) and no posts on cellphone (this had several posts before sync). So obviously activesync decided to move the empty outlookcalender to the cellphone. Panic.

Is there anything I can do to undo this? Or where can I find the calender on my winxp if not in outlook?

Any help is much appreciated

Wow, Sorry your first post here had to be for a problem... Anyway welcome to 4Winmobile.com.

Unfortunately, once the calendar entries have been removed/deleted from the device, you cannot retrieve them, unless you had already made a backup of them via some other application. If they were never on the pc, you will not find them there now... Unless there is some magic that I am currently unaware of.

The only hope would be that you have mutiple calendars in your Outlook profile.. If so, you can view them in the other calendars... I don't have my hands on an machine with Outlook 2000 on it, but in later versions, when you click on the calendars folder in the left pane, you may see several calendar checkboxes... Make sure you enable them all to see if your data is in any one of them... Of course, this assumes that you have more than one calendar... Hope this helps...

Hi Spamaway,

I accidentally deleted several calender items a few weeks ago and went through the process of manually re-creating them which took time!

After I had done so I found the originals that I had deleted were still in the Deleted Items folder in my Outlook! All I had to do was drag them down to the calendar link down the left hand side and they re-appeared!

Its worth a look in there as they might still be there unless you have yours set to automatically delete when you exit?

I hope that helps!
