HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Hi everybody,
Just a quick question about the HTC cube cab mentioned in the Stickies.
If I install the cab file on my P3300 (with wm 6) does it have the same intitial user interface or do I need to install addtional programs.
I really like the touch interface and the touch cube.
Thanks for the replies
Ruud

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Hi Ruud and welcome to 4WM
The only application you will need to add first is the HTC Audio Manager if it is not already installed on your device as shown in the cube post, this is to give functionality to the music tab on the cube. Nothing more needs to be added and it should run fine, have fun!

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
No it is not a stupid question at all, you need the HTC Home plugin that is available here (!!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !!!) it is a good thing you did ask, or the cube would have been installed for no good reason!
If you need further help just ask and we will be glad to assist.

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Ah cool, Installed the HTC Home plugin.
Though the different tabs require addtional programs I guess? as the weather tab doesn't show anything yet, neither do some of the others.
Thanks for the wonderfull replies

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
You need to set the weather for your area in the weather tab settings but take it off automatic in the options if you haven't got a data package, you can also update the weather via activesync or wifi.
There are no other applications to install it is all there! You would be best to have a play and explore all the options, you can customise it to your own needs.

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Hmm that's odd then.
the weathertab and Music tab are empty.
In the Favorite People tab I can't seem to put anyone in.
and the launcher doesn't seem to be working either.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong though.

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Hi spacemonkey17!
Funnily enough, I've just been playing with the Weather bit m'self! I discovered that to get the weather to download and display I had to click the bar that says 'Weather' (seems obvious when you know!).
WinMo then activates the phone connection if necessary and gets 5 days of weather for the location you selected.
Hope that helps (and I've got it right),
Ian

Re: HTC touch cube + initial user interface
Found what was wrong
As I have a dutch win mobile the language files weren't compatible. I renamed them from [file]009 to [file]013 and now it works
