New phone customisations

Hi guys, I just my HTC 3600i and have begun installing stuff on it, but have hit a few snags when it comes to customisations.

1. I have tried the HTC Home Today plugins from here - (!!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !!!). I tried the first link and the customiser wouldn't run, so I installed the second (middle) and it works ok. Except in the customiser I have the weather tab in the inactive section but it still shows up and can be clicked on. Is it possible to remove the icon or have something else in it's place?

2. I looked here - (O2 Plus 2.3 on your QVGA Today screen.) and like to setup of boz's screen. What I am looking for from it is the bluetooth and wifi switches, I installed O2 Plus mentioned in the thread but couldn't see them in it, is it something else or did I simply miss it?
SOLVED! - Got it from here (!!! 6 button HTC Home plugin + BRAND NEW version of customization pack 16/03/08 !!!)

3. Also is there a today plugin that is simply a launcher? Like O2 Plus but without all the extra stuff?

4. Having my phone from 3 it has a today plugin with small planet 3, my3, ebay, etc links on it and in the today settings it is listed as HTCHomeplug and I can't find any settings for it. Has anyone else seen this and know how to add and remove some of the links and also make them bigger? (This could be used for #3)

5. Is it possible to have the HTC Keypad always in 12 key mode? Mine seems to switch between 12 key and a full keyboard depending on application?

6. Is it possible to turn the status bar off? I can't seem to find a way.

7. Lastly how can I configure the softkeys? I want New SMS instead of calender.

Hopefully thats not too much to ask in one go?

Re: New phone customisations

Wow, ok, where to begin?

3 & 4) I think you're looking in the right direction with the HTChomeplug, but I've not seen a difinitive guide to configuring it. I believe there are a couple of xml files but I've not been able to find it.

5) I'm not sure about this off the top of my head but if you like the phone pad layout then you can try this one, I prefer it:

Keyboard applications for Windows Mobile — Online Diary

6) Schaps configuration tool will do this for you. Get it here:

7) Soft key changer is here:

A lot of the stuff you're looking at changing can be done with SpB Mobile Shell, and although not free is an excellent program. Have you looked at that?
