Animated Today screen with weather and time for all QVGA devices - multi language

Are you fed up with the usual Today screen offerings such as HTC Home taking up too much real estate? Well this free animated Today screen might just be for you, at the touch of a button or a left to right slide of your finger you can alternate between todays weather and the time.

The screenshots below taken from my Orbit 2 show how the actual application looks (without the animation obviously!) and which setting options are available.

The weather feed is from Accuweather.com and this will give you access to literally thousands of localities worldwide. Find your location by going to this page here

Instructions:-
The download contains all you need to run this application, install the fp7_ppc_en.cab first onto your device, followed by the ThrottleHTML_0_1Alpha.CAB, enter your location code for the weather in the configuration text file and place this into the Windows>ThrottleHTML Folder on your device, and make sure that Throttle HTML is selected in start>settings>personal>today>items.

Once installed please note the highlighted example below for London UK of how the weather code for your locality should look in the configuration text that is placed in Windows>ThrottleHTML Folder on your device, in the USA just a five digit code is required.

To update to the latest version 13 unzip the two given files in the package into Windows>ThrottleHTML Folder on your device, the version number will not change to 13 but it will fix the issues noted below in version 12.

New version 13(th):
- fixed a bug in all long dates by...
- decreasing the font date a little
- removing the bottom left buttons, now all that area is a big button
- added the Greek language
- fixed a bug with the 11th and 21th days
- fixed the AM-PM not showing up (behind the seconds)


Oh, and by the way see what happens when you tap the question mark on the time screen!!!

Looks pretty damned nice mate!

Looks nice, but first attempt on the Diamond results in only the top half of the animated today screen being shown.

Will look into it a bit and post back if I find a fix

Do not forget the Diamond is a VGA device not QVGA, that is going to be the problem!

Just installed and I really like this, cleans up my screen nicely!
One tiny issue though, it doesn't seem to sit 'square' on my screen, to the left and top of the app I have what looks like a pixel gap which is white. ANy ideas on how to position the app so that it sits right?

Not seen that issue, did you install the updated version too?

Yep, did the update as well. I'll uninstall and reinstall. See if it sits right after that.

I have that same alignment problem as well..............removed and reinstalled...........Same thing.

I also see seconds skipping as well..........and I can't get the weather update to work.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
