Re: Clearing Recent Programs From Start Menu

no problem. i had to play around a bit to figure that one out. what i wound up doing is placing all of my folders directly on the Start Menu. The only thing I have in my Programs Folder is File Explorer. Then, I changed the properties of the Programs Folder to hidden.

Now, when I click the Start Button, I see all of my folders immediately and the only thing in my Recent Programs is File Explorer. The Programs Folder doesn't even show up and I don't really need for it to.

The only drawback is when I install new software, the shortcut appears in the Programs Folder, so I have to go into File Explorer and Cut/Paste the shortcut into the appropriate folder off of the Start Menu.

Fairy nuff a nice neat solution and lets face it copying the odd shortcut around after installing a new application is a minimal problem to work around
