Thanks a lot. I have an 8525 with the official ATT WM6.0 ROM, and TCPMP did all that flashing on the control screen. Putting in the WM5 wma and wmv files in /windows did not help and 0.81 did not help either. Your ROM update did the trick. Now I can get back to the work that I have to do and do not enjoy half as much.

Sorry if my questions are basic, but this is my first smartphone.
Ok, I just got a T-mobile dash and a 2gig micro sd card. I wanted to play some movies, but they are missing some codecs. I read about app unlocking and did it...I think. So all you have to do is run the program while the phone is synced? It seemed to easy. Then i soft restarted and wanted to try this program. Will it work with my dash as is? Also, how do you get it to run on the phone. I tried the same way as the unlock, but their is no .exe file to run. what do you do with the cabinet file?
sorry again for being a noob, but you have to start somewhere!

Hi jed and welcome to 4WM

To install the cab file put it on your storage card, then find it on your device, and to run it just click on it. The player should run ok on the dash straight out of the box with no adjustments needed. Hope that helps.

ok so it runs the app but then b4 it finishes say, "Installation of tcmp.cab was unsuccessful. The installation file is not intedned for this device.

Try this different installation method with the attached file, unpack the folder and copy the folder to your SD card. Double click on the player.exe in the folder to start, this should cure your problem.

wow just want to say you are the man boz!!!
I spent last night downloading application unlocks and editing the registry getting no success with this player. But this worked and i just watched a south park on my phone. great program and thanks for the help.
