HTC Mail
I got an email this morning from HTC (I registered my Touch Cruise so I must be in the eClub or whatever it's called) offering my 3 Free Months with HTC Mail. I didn't have much time to go through it in detail but it looks like HTC are offering a hosted exchange service with Calendar, contacts and push mail.
Data is still prohibitively expensive here so I probably won't bother but I'll have another look tonight to see what the details are. Has anyone signed up for this, anyone else get the offer through?

Re: HTC Mail
I got the same e-mail yesterday when I came home.
I registered the S730 and logged into the site to see what it was all about and quickly dropped the idea of paying!
From memory, it can collect up to 5 POP/IMAP accounts and push them out to your device but costs about £10 per month which i didn't think was particularly good value! Needless to say I didn't complete the registration process.

Re: HTC Mail
I signed up just to see what it was like.
Got my text which had a link to download the setup.cab but the installation keeps failing. It says i need to close active sync but it already is.
I have officially given up.
The plus point is it didn't ask for any bank details. Also the way i understood it was that everyone gets 2 months and you use your voucher for the 3 that you are supposed to pay for.
I registered with a tmobile branded touch dual's imei which makes a change as in the past it you have only been able to use htc imei's

Re: HTC Mail
Maybe they've relaxed the rules so they can generate some revenue from the service but just restricting it to HTC manufactured (rather than branded) devices....
I didn't even get as far as you....

Re: HTC Mail
£10? Ouch. There's one that does it for just a few dollars isn't there (4smartphone.net or something)?

Re: HTC Mail
Yep I got the email through but decided it was not worth looking at as I'm already with 4smartphone.net.

Re: HTC Mail
Still tweaking, added into the mis Remember The Milk now for tasks. Once I'm happy I'll drop a note on the final setup.
Only thing I can't see to bring myself to use fully is Reader, still prefer Newsgator.
