Exchange Synch Problem
I've got my hosted exchange service up and running and all was going swimmingly. Then my device became corrupted on Friday afternoon and my restores wouldn't help (another story for another thread).
So, I rebuilt the device from scratch using the cab files on the storage card. One of these cab files set up my echange link with web2mail and immeadiately downloaded all the contacts, calendar and emails in the inbox.
Then I went into the folder manager and selected which folders I also wanted to synch. However, only one email has now synched into one of six folders. Nothing else has come over. I've tried unticking a folder and then re-enabling it to no avail.
I've also tried forcing a synch through ActiveSync.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
Jim,
You probably have the messaging app to only sync 'n' number of days of messages. If the messages are older than this they won't come across.
I can't remember where the setting is but that's probably the solution....
Edit!
Found it!
In the ActiveSync app on the device, go to Menu/Options and then select the Microsoft Exchange partnership and highlight e-mail (not the tick box but the actual word), now tap on Settings at the bottom.
Download the past... is the first drop down box - default is 3 days

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
Hi Tony,
Would that be server side or client side?
Cheers

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
I've just edited the original reply with the details....
It's on the device in the ActiveSync app...

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
Just went looking and must have found it about the same time. Thanks a million for pointing me in the right direction tony. My data allowance is being rapidly consumed as we speak

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
No chance of using wireless instead?

Re: Exchange Synch Problem
Nah. I'm at work. Banks tend to be a bit picky about leaving WiFi networks open - damit!
Had I been thinking I could have unticked all folders bar the one with the email I REALLY need until this evening. Still, I don't think I'm anywhere near my monthyl limit.
