Take control of your Windows Mobile Device using your PC screen and keyboard

Re: Take control of your Windows Mobile Device using your PC screen and keyboard

That looks like a really good app wm-forever. Is there a client that needs to be installed on the device before execution?

Hi wm-forever and welcome to 4WM

I do like the look of that, being free makes it even better.

The Windows (XP/Vista) software will detect and install the client automatically to the Windows Mobile device.
If you look for missing device skins, you can go to the Mobile Device Management Blog of Sparus Software, the new skins are posted there usually.

Of course, we do make money with a professional version of this products that will work over any connection and is included in the EveryWAN Mobility Manager product. It is used by large enterprises to manage the deployment of their device fleet over the air.
The free version is useable in its own right (not a demo or time-bombed version) for individuals and enterprises to do presentations/demos of Windows Mobile on a projector, to type SMS with a true keyboard, recover access to a device when the screen has been broken, etc.
The main difference with the pro version: it is simpler to install (no gateway server needed), it cannot work over GPRS/EDGE/3G networks and you don't get a list of all devices connected to the EveryWAN Server gateway.

very good the Task manager really show what is running and there are quite a few extra features.

The skinning option looks good for creating your own phone for those not provided.

One program its has an issue with is Vito Fun Contact as the screen stays on teh flash screen but guess work allows you to continue.

Re: Take control of your Windows Mobile Device using your PC screen and keyboard

I tried it last night. As you say Mailman, the task list option is very good and I was surprised to see how many tasks are actually running on the 503g...

The file transfer option makes transferring files a breeze, much easier than opening two windows in Windows Explorer to do it when connected over WMDC.

I like it!!
