Media Player Remote Control

Can anyone remember the name of the Windows Mobile app that allows you to control the media player on your PC via WiFi?

I sent a link to myself ages ago but, having gone to install it this morning, I can't find the email. Cheers.

Re: Media Player Remote Control

Hi Jim- this is something I've been trying to acheive reliably for some time, with little success.

I used to use Rudeo Remote but it is not compatible with Vista, and seems to have stopped being developed. It was far and away the best I tried.

Recently, Salling Clicker was updated, but I couldn't get it to work in my system.

There are a lot of apps out there, but most either need WinAmp as the front end, or only work over BT.

Cheers neilm. Salling was the one I was looking for as it is (supposed to be) MediaMonkey compatible and that's what I use for all my music on the PC.

Re: Media Player Remote Control

Not that I'm aware of, no. I think it's a standalone app. Certainly the best I've come across for synching all my music with the 16GB card on my X1. Does a nice job with podcasts as well.

Re: Media Player Remote Control

I've been using Salling Clicker since its first shareware release many years ago and has always worked well for me.
