MapSnap GPS - Another potential winner on MS Marketplace!
For those of you who don't jump on the Microsoft Marketplace, you could be missing out....
Just found this little gem that could be useful to a number of the membership....
MapSnap GPS
MapSnap GPS is a fast, easy handheld map for those situations where road maps aren't good enough and you can't download a map. Just take a photo of a map using the camera in your device, mark your location using your inbuilt GPS or an external bluetooth GPS, select the scale (or mark another location), and you're good to go! Whether you're hiking, cycling, or just sick of endlessly unfolding and refolding tourist maps, MapSnap GPS is the perfect tool!
Features:
Allows you to photograph a map or use any image as a map
Shows your current GPS map position in real time
Adds a dynamic scale indicator and a north indicator to every map
Provides fast handheld mapping without the hassle of paper maps
Only £1.69 too....

The marketplace has the additional bonus that you can return the application within 24 hours if you don't like it, so it's a low risk.
As a biased party (I'm the author), I strongly recommend you download it. It's great!
Cheers,
Simon

Welcome to 4WM Simon It's great to see developers actively participating in user forums!
Thanks for your comment- I'm sure the 24hour return facility was something a lot of folk were unaware of!
Is your program only available via the MS Marketplace, or do you have a developer site as well?

HI @harshalm,
MapSnap GPS definitely supports 320x320 (actually, it can handle anything from 240x240 up to 480x800).
@neilm,
The app's only available via the marketplace. I originally wrote it just for my own use, but when the marketplace was released, I thought I'd give it a go, and it's been quite successful.
Note that MS updated the marketplace on Friday, so as of right now, I can't see my app at all, but I'm assured that it'll be fixed very soon.
Also, for any users of the software, please feel free to add any comments/feedback to this thread.
Cheers,
Simon

re: MapSnap GPS - Another potential winner on MS Marketplace!
I've bought MapSnap but, other than a quick test to familiarise myself with it I haven't used it in anger just yet. However, I have several uses in mind for it during the year when it will prove incredibly useful so I'll post back once I've tried it in anger.

Log back in to the marketplace. Then go to "Purchased Apps" and it will let you install from there.
