WMDC / Exchange 2007 Sync issues with tasks?

Guys I'm seeing an issue with synching tasks with Exchange 2007 via 4smartphone.com.

I run under two scenarios.

a) GPRS connectivity - On my Xda Trion (Hermes) I can sync and the tasks sync correctly with the server. That is if I mark a daily repeating task as completed on the machine that status shows up in Outlook

b) WMDC / Vista - But on any device (FSC N560 WM5 / Xda Exec WM6) plugged into the PC which sync via WMDC and Vista it appears the same task can be checked as complete...... but when one looks at Outlook after a sync has been performed the task shows as completed as expected..... but is regenerated for the same day and not the next day as a sort of fake / false record.

The problem in b) means that the device detailed in a) never sees the task as completed.

However if the same day task created in b) (the false task) is marked as complete in Outlook on the PC which corrects the error, then it sync back correctly to both machines.

As you can imagine this is drivign me slowly nuts as it means I have to use the GPRS device for task completion for it tobe reliable. I can not have a second machine docked at the desk for quick check offs.

This situation has only evolved since my Exchange account has been switched to using Ex 2007 instead of Ex 2003.

At first I thought the issue was with WM5 devices connecting to Vista / WMDC but since then I've tested it with WM6 machines with the same result and both OS's are affected.

What is annoying that this does not happen to all tasks or the same ones each time.

I've gone through the scenarios of:

- Breaking the relationship between the server and the and recreating it
- Hard reset the devices and synch'ed completely from scratch
- Wiped the PC and reinstalled Vista and WMDC (not just for this)
- Checked with 4SP if there are any known Exchange issues - and they say none advised by MS.

and the issue is stlil there.

Anyone seen anything similar at all or know of any solution?
