ALL item gone from Start menu except "Today"

I was installing my un-used softwares from my iMate using SKTools' uninstaller. I successfully removed Spb Mobile Shell (i wanted to re-install because it not decorating Today window correctly).
When i removed Spb Diary, it took about 5 minutes to complete and then i noticed that icons are not appearing in their original colours, so i decided to restart.
I pressed the Power button pressed and shutdown the device when promted, but when it was started, there were two items in Start menu... (1) Today and (2) coldinit

I don't what the heck is "coldinit" :@
I tried doing a soft-reset, but it did not help.

I can dial numbers and can receive calls, but if i press other hardware buttons like Web-Browser, Messaging or Camera buttons, following error message appears...

Title: Shotcut Target
Message: Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename.

Can someone please give me a clue as what to do, because i'm totally loooost

Sounds to me like you've had a fair amount deleted from the windows directory. It may well be hard reset time unfortunately.

Now when i inserted the miniSD card into the MMC Card reader, it shows nothing but just a SINGLE FOLDER "Inbox.mst29882693.3768591872".... what the &%#*$%&%????

I don't even have the contacts backup on my PC, because it was stored on the SD card... am i somewhere in the hell??

Irstly, keep that SD card OUT of the device! Make sure you can read it from a card reader on the PC. This will determine if your backup is safe....

On your device it looks like it needs a hard reset and I think the coldinit is something akin to it but I wouldn't run it.

I would do a normal hard reset for your device and see if the ROM comes back to life and populates everything correctly.

Then we'll take it from there.

Okay... i think it's time to do the hard-reset as i've just read on some other places about this sister of blue screen, "coldinit" :@

Fortunately, i've found a backup of the contacts on my Laptop... Alhadulillah

I'm doing the hard reset now and will update you later. Please pray for the best for me

I think it's all sorted out now. I just have to reinstall everything from scratch, which means 5 hours, BUT I'm ready

Should take 3/4 of an hour to an hour to reinstall from scratch maximum I'd have thought.

I'm down to about 10 minutes with an HTC device. That said I'm not sure I've even had to hard reset the Touch once in the 4 months since I had it.
