encryption
While waiting to get my new phone, maybe a diamond or diamond pro, I’ve heard from the IT dept at work that there is a new (or reaffirmed) security policy. I.e. don’t place confidential documents on anything other than a works machine that must be carried with the user all the time when out and about etc etc. I am always out and about and never carry my laptop.
I do not carry anything important just outline details of client properties along with their names and addresses and on some occasions a password to confirm I am who I say I am if telephoning.
I.T. say it’s OK I can carry this on my phone but I’d like to know whether anyone has experience of or can recommend a programme that will encrypt and decrypt the PDF’s I use on the fly. That is when I sync the days work from laptop to phone seamlessly and without a password each evening and open them for me with a password if I need to look at the surveys again during the day.
I don’t need to carry the PDF’s, it’s just very convenient to do so about once every month when I need to refer to something for somebody else. If the machine is protected then a password would be inconvenient as I use it all day so I would be looking for something that would encrypt a SD card on the pro or the solid state memory on the diamond.
Many thanks

Re: encryption
Windows Mobile 6 does come with encryption built-in if I remember correctly. Not sure how good it is though as I've never used it!
But as johnston411 says, Pocket Secure is an excellent product!!

Re: encryption
The WinMo 6 encryption is very hit and miss. If you have files on there prior to enabling encryption then they aren't encrypted in my experience.
