Solved - T-MOB/WnW basic/active sync

Before I call t-mobile - should the basic package allow connection to pushmail via activesync? as I cant seem to get it on. works fine with the orange Sim. the only difference is the connection wizzard setup.

Re: (?) T-MOB/WnW basic/active sync

I would have thought it would work.

I would think WnW Basic is web browsing and downloading of e-mails.

Re: T-MOB/WnW basic/active sync

ActiveSync reports result as;

AS cannot reach the server. Check that the server address and proxy server settings are correct...?

When I first got my t-mobile chip all this worked fine I'll have to revert to my orange on for now

Might be worth disabling the proxy server in connection settings.

Re: T-MOB/WnW basic/active sync

What I can not understand is why this Push via AS worked when I got the phone - using the excact same settings. I remember the proxy was ticked by default as I helped another member (another forum) that had issues sending and receiving POP mail with this option ticked then specified in emailsetup he had to check the option was set to use "The Internet" for it to work.

Anyway removing the tick for proxy worked I was thinking about doing this last night but thought as it has worked this way before - why should I.

Thanks again No more slow orange (gprs) chip in my HTC for now.

I remove it as i use t-mobile internet for picture mesaging/mms and the proxy stops you from doing that and from using imap.
