Sounds like you will have to wait for the servers or Exchange to upgrade - The only reason you have OL2000 will be because the Exchange 2000 CAL (mailbox licence) includes the installation of OL2000.

Red face Re: Windows Mobile 6 / ActiveSync / Outlook

Hi, not sure if I'm in the right thread
I do some long distance calls via a VOIP provider, now one way to do it is by calling a local nuber in the U.K. entering the international number I need to dial and I get through.
the best way that was suggested is by entering the local number plus a pause the the international number I get connected. easy. im using p as a pause for the O2 Orbit II. however
Using Outlook 2003's contacts, when I wirte down the whole loacal number plus p plus the international number as the below example:

00118123456789p009998881622523 outlook saves it with a space before the pause (p) as:
00118123456789 p009998881622523
the VOIP service does not recognise this, how can I overcome this please?

Re: Windows Mobile 6 / ActiveSync / Outlook

Try using a comma (,) instead.

Let us know if it works

Re: Windows Mobile 6 / ActiveSync / Outlook

TonyBro, I tried a comma, I even tried a wait command but it seems that Outlook 2003 dosent like AT commands, strange when WM6 accepts it but Outlook 2003 doesn't, especially when they are both Microsoft. I think its a Major problem because search via Google many people have had the same problem and there seems to be no practical solution.

P.S. I lost the rubber ring on the wheel of my O2 XDA Orbit II.

Re: Windows Mobile 6 / ActiveSync / Outlook

Zappy,

That does suprise me as I used to have a work voicemail system in my last job that I needed to access from my device. It required a PIN and the pause mechanism I used was definitely a comma (I've just checked my archived contacts and there it was with a comma in.

You can have more than one comma if the gap isn't big enough.

Re: Windows Mobile 6 / ActiveSync / Outlook

Tonybro, It worked! , it seems that the + sign in the begining before the 44 located after the actual dial number was the problem. I removed all + and exchanged them to 00 now it works even when there is a space before the p. the , also works, thanks tonybro.
