Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

I mean the one that puts the A-Z down the right hand side of the screen. HTC Random Access I believe it's called. Daron, has it in his review on his contacts screen but it's not on my device.

Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

It is also present on my device Dave, so you definitely have the old version? I have noticed the A-Z list down the side has gone awol a few times and does a good impression of the older version but without the A-Z list along the top, a soft reset brings it back.

Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

Yes- confirmed the same ROM.

The HTC Random Access thingy is turned On/Off in Contacts/Menu/Options 'Show Alphabetical Index'; If unticked, the Random Access operates; if ticked, the standard Tab Bar operates

Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

Soft reset and it's there. 10 minutes later and it's gone. Any idea what makes it disappear?

Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

No ideas on that Dave, I did notice that once I did soft reset and then actually used it to make a call it hasn't disappeared since touch wood. Plus I have remapped the soft keys don't know if that would make a difference, do you go into contacts through the soft key?

Re: O2 Xda Orbit 2 Review

If the person I want to text/call is not one of the 9 in my photo list (cube) then I always go in via the soft key yes. How do you do it?
