Glad you enjoyed the review guys. AS is still as temperamental as always though I'm afraid.

I like this, but the poor GPS reception puts me off!

Re: O2 Xda Serra

Skirting the O2 NDA here, the problems are not directly radio related but to do with the networking on the device. A forthcoming ROM from O2 is planned to address those issues. No ETA yet though.

Re: O2 Xda Serra

Just phoned O2 and the Xda Serra is only available on the business tarriffs. Any ideas when it will be available for the rest of us?

Re: O2 Xda Serra

No ideas I'm afraid as I deal with the product team not the sales folks.

Re: O2 Xda Serra

To echo my thoughts from the Raphael sub-forum...

Size, I can't get over how svelte the device is compared to my existing ones. It is truly miniscule, well, there are some more miniscule but you get what I mean.

Keyboard. Absolutely love the keyboard on this one, for me, it's the best keyboard I've used so far, the extra row of keys for numeric input really make the difference here. Much more usable.

Screen. It's excellent, clear, bright and VGA, fantastic. I wouldn't like to run RealVGA on it though, that would probably strain my eyesight!!

TouchFlo 3D. Loved it at first, couldn't stop playing with it. I think it was the novelty factor though as I am now finding it a little too restrictive, especially as I've got phoneweaver installed and want to have access to the icon in the task bar. I can't see a way to configure TouchFlo 3D... I've now turned it off...

RAM/Storage. Immense, I couldn't believe how much space there actually is on this device... Another revalation for me!

Speed. Not too bad with TouchFlo3D running, but zippier without it running that's for sure. Remember to turn of the Microsoft Error reporting though as it is on by default.

battery life, seems pretty good... I've had WiFi on all the time as well. But I haven't done any conclusive tests, just general observation in use...

I'll have a bit more of a play before I give any marks for it!!

Re: O2 Xda Serra

I'm now torn between the Serra and the Diamond. I've seen the Diamond in the 'flesh' but just want to take a look at the Serra before making my decision. Does anyone know if any of the big high street shops have them on display?
