No, with microsoft you only can route the phone calls (do connection when an incoming call) ,but not all the sounds like Broadcom.
With Broadcom you can: - Route calls to headset/hands free devices ... and/or route also all sounds from your ppc without doing a permanet route, only when a sound is produced on your ppc, letting free the connection (not permanet) till it is needed.
And a permanent a2dp to a device a2dp capable
With Microsoft you can: - Route ONLY phone calls ... or a PERMANENT a2dp connection to a device capable of a2dp

Re: O2 XDA Zest Review!
I guess that's fair enough if you'd use it. I can't see that I would. My car stereo handles calls and music, my S9's and watch handle calls and music when I'm out and about. I certainly wouldn't want the audio from tomtom played over my car stereo. How annoying would that be to people sitting in the back? Besides, if you want all the audio to go via bluetooth via loads of different apps if you really wanted it. No way I'd choose my device by that feature.

Re: O2 XDA Zest Review!
Hi guys, perhaps you can help me.
Its been years since I last had a WinMo phone and I've just bought a Zest. I prefer an alpha numeric keyboard for entering texts etc over a qwerty one, but unlike my old XDA Exec, the zest doesn't seem to come with one. I did find one for the XDA Atom but when I downloaded and installed it, it was about a quarter of the size it aught to be and was therefore entirely useless.
I'm still getting used to WinMo after years of symbian, and without a t9 keypad, the transition will go from painful to excruciating.
I'm not the most advanced user in the world so an idiots guide would be helpful!!

What I need is the type shown in picture to the right, which shows both the socket and the plug.
Can anyone help, please?

Re: O2 XDA Zest Review!
Thanks user22, found it and it works a treat so far!
Now you've opened a can of worms, I've another couple of noob questions you might be able to answer.
- Can you get accelerometer software for this handset?
- Can you turn off all the noises except Ring tone, message alert and alarms?
- Can you remove the "Message sent" notification (I keep thinking I've recieved a reply already)
- And finally, can you alter the text message settings from conversation to individual texts?
Sorry about all this but I think the handset itself is great, I just have to get to grips with the software. Years of nokia N series have made me soft.

1.- No, there is no hardware accelerometer is this Zest.
2.- Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications/ untick what you don't need.
3.- Open Text Messages/Menu/Tools/Options/Click on *test Messages/Untick Request delivery notificatios and Use Unicode when necesary.
4.- For this, it will be easier for you if you use "Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3.0"
Any more ? jajaja

Re: O2 XDA Zest Review!
Thanks again for the help. Plenty to be getting on with now. I got the config tool for a spot of tinkering. I see a fair bit of trial and error in my future!
Incidentally, I unchecked the two boxes in the text message options, but it still sends me a message to say that its sent. Theres an audible alert and an on screen message which looks like a text message. It flashes the light red too so It looks lke I've got a reply. Its realy bugging me.
The first thing I do when I get a phone is strip all the sounds off of it. Its the silly wee bleeps and dings when a pop up comes on screen or you have reached the max volume etc that drives me nuts. In the sounds menu you can alter the main notification sounds, but its a little unclear when it comes to checking the boxes for events, programs and notifications what falls into which catagory. I literally just want just ringtone, message alert and alarm sounds.
Theres a hell of a difference between Winmo ans Symbian. I feel like a life long mac user who has just been handed his first PC.
I appreciate the help. Not all forums are quite so noob tollerant.

Re: O2 XDA Zest Review!
Update!
After downloading and installing NETCFsetupv35, I managed to get into the advanced tools which gives you the option of changing the text threads and the sent alerts.
We're getting there!!!
Thanks again guys.
