Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

Hi,
Could you please post some screenshots with pdf reader usage. I'd like to see how pdfs look in landscape mode and if possible with word wrap/reflow.

Here you go, looks like there are no options for word wrap or reflow though...

Has the MicroSD card arrived yet? If so how come you are not updating much?
Anyhow, is typing on the touch diamond2 more comfortable, (or easier for a lack of a better word) than the original diamond and how does it compare to the Touch HD?
Also how is the camera in low light?

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

The MicroSD card has arrived, but not had much time to use the device as I've been working long hours at the office and preparing to go away on holiday tomorrow morning.

It would help if you would advise what other info you want to know about the machine with respect to the SD card. The 16b card has been used so far for storing music and basic video playback with Core Player with no issues so far.

Typing with the D2 is much improved compared to the original diamond as the SIP has been improved, this is especially good whilst using emails etc in auto-rotate landscape mode as the SIP resizes so suite and becomes very usable.

Touch HD - I can't comment there I'm afraid as I've never seen one in the flesh never mind using one

Camera in low light - the same as oher HTC based devices, poor IMHO. The ISO different settings seem certainly not to coem into use in auto-setting mode.

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

Have you installed any programs on the SD card yet, and if so i take they're working ok? Talking of SD cards i noticed play.com have a scan disk one for 10.49, storage is so cheap these days

Typing - I have the orbit2 and SIP's on it from HTC are bad, so unuseable. I'm currently using the Touchpal and i'm very impressed with it, so much that i don't you the stylus and keyboard input if at all now. So my questions are 1. i expect you could use Touchpal with the diamond2 and 2. Have you used Touchpal and if so what's it like compared to the new HTC SIP's on the diamond?

Shame about the camera though thats camera's on phones for you. My other half has a SE902 5million pixel and it doesn't take a good picture at all. In fact my 3million pixel camera that is close on to 5+ years old takes a better picture

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

So far installed to SD Card are uBook, CorePlayer, eWallet, Pocket Informant, and Twikini, all are working without any problems.

I have used TouchPal in the past but so far on the D2 it has not been needed, the new HTC SIPS in the ROM are so far proving very acceptable, especially in landscape mode.

If I get a chance I'll try TouchPal for you once we get back from holiday.
