And feel wise the Xperia feels a lot smaller in the hand as the width makes it more comfortable width wise in the palm, and the greater depth is lost in the cup of the palm. Not sure if that makes sense but it does to me!

Thanks for clarifying.
So, for you, which one is the winner?

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

Very difficult to say, I've been swapping between the two every few days. The X1 scores when I know I'm on the shop floor at work, and the D2 has the edge for eBook reading. The one thing I do miss on the D2 is not having customisable buttons of which of course the X1 has a plenty.

Great Review!
I have been considering buying the D2 to replace my o2 orbit but was put off by the sales rep at Handtec who said that TTN7 was not compatible so was delighted to read that you would be installing it. Shall be very interested in your impressions. Also where did you purchrase your brodit cradle? I am using one for the Orbit bt will obviously have to change the cradle

Still not got around to migrating TTNv7 onto the machine yet. I always but all my Brodit mounts from DSL Developments - top notch supplier and good prices too!

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

I have Tom Tom installed on the diamond 2 and I'm happy (ish) with it so far. The only complaint is the GPS Lag that seems to be there. Tom Tom will show my position as being about 2-3 seconds behind where I actually am. If I can't find a fix for this, then I might just go over to Co-Pilot

On the 15 day Co-Pilot trial the GPS position is almost smack on. Whenever I look it shows me as being where I actually am.

That said, Tom Tom maps for where I use it most seem to be more uptodate than the Co-Pilot maps but both give good routing and voice instructions

Hmm is it worth trying a soft reset? Saying that as I've found almost all GPS apps to be a little laggy but improved after a reset?

Re: HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with!

I've tried a soft reset but it still has GPS lag. It might have something to do with the draw time for Tom Tom rather than actual GPS lag. I am using the version designed for the Touch HD and from what I've read, Tom Tom don't (yet) support the Diamond 2.

video recording and low light photos

Hi , could you comment on what you think about the highest quality video that this phone can record. Also can you please comment on how the camera handles lowlight photography and do higher iso settings help with low light shots.

Re: video recording and low light photos

I thought (could be wrong) that the D2 launched in Germany with TT on board natively?

Hopefully one of the other users can comment on those aspects as mine is out on loan for the moment....
