Re: O2 Xda Guide

The XDA Guide is listed online in the business section here, so should be known about by customer services. It isn't hard to get a business phone you know, if you can swing it with them.

Re: O2 Xda Guide

I know what you mean about a 24 month contract, they do have 18 month contracts available.

In the business section they have an 18 month contract with 500 minutes, unlimited text and data (500MB) for £30 per month, and a one off payment of £85 for the XDA Guide.

O2 have advised:

It IS available through retail, it may not be displayed but the shops have them in stock. If they try to buy it and they can not, let us know where they are and action will be taken.
Somewhat adjusted for posting on site. So if you do have a problem purchasing retail please advise the details of the store, etc and I'll pass on the info.

Re: O2 Xda Guide

Hi,

Thanks for your help - you seem to know some powerful people at O2!

I think i may have been mis-understood a little. There is no problem with purchasing the phone in a high street shop, in fact they were only too happy to help!

As an existing customer of o2 (for over 5 years now) i want the phone for free on an additional contract. The shops are unwilling to negotiate on the price, and even advised me to phone o2 for a better deal. This is where the propblem is, the phone is only available on the business section of the website. I have phones cx services several times but no one has heard of the phone (as its not currently available to retail customers online).

In short - this is a the launch date i was looking for.

Right now I understand. And we do have a few friends within O2. I've passed your post on to them and we'll see if we get any further feedback.

Re: O2 Xda Guide

I was quite looking forward to upgrading to the Guide, until I realised it does't have an FM radio. Lack of FM completely rules it out for me. My current Orbit v1 has it, works a treat, so why not on the Guide? Grief.

Re: O2 Xda Guide

I have heard back from O2, the Guide will be available online but I can't get a definite schedule as to when.
