Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Review - A week in my life.....
Great review - and thanks for keeping it real ("the Touch Pro 2 is very nice, but it's not going to rock your world")
Somehow I don't think that endless glowing reports of each WM device actually inspire major improvements to be made.
If the various WM sites did a few more reviews along the lines of 'don't rush out to buy this one because it is basically more of the same', Microsoft/HTC might think more carefully before launching products... and get the s*dding release ROMs whipped into better shape!

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Review - A week in my life.....
I am an owner of the HTC pro, I was very happy at first when I got this phone; but as time passed HTC pro was a total dissapointment to me. I want to get rid of it so bad, however there are no other phones that catch my attention at the moment. The HTC pro 2 looks very tempting, but I am scared it's going to suck like the pro did. Is the HTC pro 2 better than the pro.? I've had so many problems with the HTC pro, is very slow, it freezes, I have to restart it so many times, I get my text messages like an hour after the other person sent it, there are so many other things wrong with that phone and its actually very annoying. I paid a lot of money for it and I don't think it was worth it. I want to get the HTC pro 2 but I'm scared it's going to be a waste. I need some help, I dont know wether to get it or not. What do you guys think?

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Review - A week in my life.....
Hi silvio627,
In my experiece the TP2 has a significant improvement on the TP1 especially it is more responsive, it features like the straight talk, people centric its good especially if you are person who does text, email, and call regularly, especialy the build in keyboard very comfortable to use anytime, upgradable soon to WM6.5 and its build quality is good although its quiet bulky on the pocket but not on your hand when your holding it. Am glad i read forums/reviews like this to see what others have to say on a product.

I had a Touch Proo for several months, and thought it was excellent. I didn't experience any of the issues you are talking about though. What ROM are you using on your Touch Pro?
I don't usually unilaterally advise people to use "cooked" ROMs but I used the Elite RC 3 ROM which was awesome, and there's now an RC4 version out. If you still have the Touch Pro I'd definitely recommend it. Especially as all the software enhancements that are on the Touch Pro 2 are included in the this ROM too.
Bottom line is if you hated the Touch Pro you'll likely not find the Touch Pro 2 much better (although the launch ROM IS better then the Touch Pro launch ROMs which were buggy). As I said in my review, they're not a million miles from each other and all the stuff under the bonnet, CPU, GPS, chipset is exactly the same. Personally I'd wait for the new snapdragon device that should be here in a couple of months.

I agree with everything you say about the Touch Pro 2, except that it's a significant improvement over teh Touch Pro. I just don't think it offers much more than a nicer screen and a bigger weight in your pocket.
