It does seem strange, I never got an instruction leaflet with my test unit so had to suck it and see.

I tried it out last night to make sure that it did work as I thought, the battery has sat on my desk unused for a few weeks or more but it still had three bars of charge left so I was pleased with that! The torch works at all times (press and hold the button) even when the battery is charging a device, or if being charged itself.

I would get Clove to swap it out for you, they will be fine about it.

Had the replacement iWalk for a couple of days & this one is behaving nicely. Multiple device charges from single iWalk charge without the iWalk locking off like the previous one.

Thanks for your feedback!

Great, another choice!

I currently use a New Trent 5K mAh but yours looks smaller, more stylish, and holds more charge.

I've only been able to get ~8 hours of power out of the New Trent with the Touch Pro (and that horrible GPSone constantly on running Navizon), but the U2o looks like it holds up better. Has a better name too.

Thanks!

The 5400mAh battery hasn't let me down yet, and I plan to use it again on my newer R1.

Oh dear... more problems with the replacement iWalk.

The 2nd unit, promptly supplied by Clove, worked for a few days & now I can't get it to consistently charge the phone for more than a few minutes before cutting out. Occasionally it does but it takes several re-plugs before staying on charge, & this has not been for a full recharge!

The replacement is heading back to Clove for investigation.

I have tried alternative USB cables & also tried it on a colleague's HD2... I've had no problems at all charging directly from a PC USB port or using the mains USB charger supplied, or even a universal mains or car charger with micro-USB adapter.

I think you must just have been unlucky, I have had my iWalk for quite some time now and it still performs as it did when I first received it. Surely it must be third time lucky.

Hehehe, unlucky is when 1 goes wrong! When 2 go wrong that's just stupid for what is little more than a battery!!

I am going to ask for a refund this time... any suggestions for alternatives?

I also have one of these it's 3600mAh, and doesn't cut out once a device is charged so is on continuously giving out the charge that is needed, and very small and compact too.

I've been 'unlucky' as well with what appears to be a dodgy cell in my 13,600mAH version of the device. It gets down to about half charge then dies completely till its recharged.
