Thanks! Even more thanks to the folks that made them possible!!

I was tempted to add Pocket Informant - I bought it recently when PocketLand had it on promotion for 5 Euros! I couldn't resist. At that price, it was more or less a giveaway!

Another great piece of software!

I forgot to add Skype - another freebie. I have it installed, and have got it working, but I don't really make much use of it...

Regards,

Andy B.

Andy that was a brilliant post, all those new packages for me to install, I can't wait! Well I've been out learning to drive all evening.. I was really tempted to pop it up on the dash and get a track but maybe the instructor would think my mind was elsewhere! I did use it on the bus to work and back and it was brilliant, telling me altitude, heading, speed, etc. I loaded pocket fms onto it with my local maps and airspace so I could get and idea of how it will work in the aircraft. I haven't tried TomTom yet because I've got no memory card... really must get one sorted - anyone got a link to a 4gb which isn't too pricey?

Another question to all you wizards out there; how do I figure out if this has Bluetooth? The advert claimed it did, yet when I click settings, connections, I only get Beam, Connections and Network Cards. If I click connections, add a new modem connection, select a modem, bluetooth,
new partnership, next, it says there is no Bluetooth Hardware installed on this device am I doing something incorrectly or have I really been conned? If it hasn't got bluetooth it's going back and I will buy a new one with bluetooth. Bluetooth is a BIG reason I went for this model.

It switches on and off so quickly, I feel like it must be using battery...?! Is there a proper shut down like Windows normally has? what happens when I hold down the off key, does it crash it off or does it do it safely? I notice it starts much more slowly after I hold down the off key for ages.

Cheers everyone.

The N560 definitely has bluetooth.

Look for the small icon at the button right of the screen, next to the WiFi icon, and in settings/connections where where should be a Bluetooth icon. If neither is present, then the device may be faulty. Try a hard reset to see if it comes back (you will lose all your data with a hard reset).

I've just tried the long press of the power button, and this seems to do a soft reset when it turns back on again, so it may be a full 'power off' mode, but in this state, remember that no alarms or scheduled events will be actioned. The normal 'power off' is sufficient in all but extended lack of use- battery usage is minimal. This is how WM devices are designed to work

I am experiencing great sadness! here is half of my letter to that rogue ebayer:
Further to my earlier correspondence, copied below, I have discovered that the processor does not run at the advertised Intel XScale PXA270 624 MHz. You have sent me a model that runs at 312 Mhz (and that is on the turbo setting)

I believe you have sent me the incorrect unit. Please make preparations to collect this unit and replace it with the item I purchased.

I dont think the unit has Bluetooth, and it doesn't have the adaptor to charge from the charging lead. I must plug the lead into the usb cable to charge it. I'm a little peeved that a superseller or whatever you call them in ebay would pull such a stunt, especially with such excellent feedback, but maybe it was a genuine mistake and I will get what I paid for in the auction. Feel free to think 'that's ebay for you' but please don't post it.

As for the media player, it seems to be a great tool, but when I play my movie it says
Error: mpeg4acc audio decoder not included!it was removed from the official install package because of intellectual porperty considerations.. is there a plug in avail? my movies play in silent!

comput1, is there anyway you can upload an image of your device? Or a link the the eBay auction so that we can verify the model of the device? Is it marked as an N560?

Well, that's definitely an N560 in the picture.... And the de.scription definitely states an N560... And none of the Processor options allow you to select up from 312Mhx, what's the model number underneath the battery, mine states Pocket Loox N560....
