Neubie , need help HTC 8525 at&t unlock & upgrade ROM

Helloo, guys, I just bought a Tytn (8525) that is locked to AT&T and WM 5.0, I need to use it with T-mobile and I need to upgrade OS to the best you think it will work.... Can you please help me step by step ? Thank you!! Peter.
P.S. Do I need to get the unlock code first???

Hi peterbodea,

As to upgrading there are many preparatory steps you need to take before even running a ROM upgrade....

First thing would be to install OliPro HardSPL to sim and carrier unlock the device and reduce the chance of 'bricking' your Tytn. You'll have to have a search in the TyTn forum for the details. Once this is successful, then and only then should you consider a re-flash.

There a re a number of TyTn ROMs out there and we even had a cooker based here and he would post up his efforts. As a start I would have a good search here for people's comments on the best ROM for the Tytn...
