Re: Support us using Navizon

Maybe that's why I can't get the app to work, keeps saying requesting location from server but never finds it.

Re: Support us using Navizon

I've had to seriously curtail my use of this application as it drains the battery too quickly... 30 minutes of usage and I am at 20% from a full battery... OMG... Especially now that I am not driving as often....

That's about what happens on my Trinity, but the Orbit 2 does much better.

There's something about trains (at least British ones) which stops the GPS on my device working. I was able to use Navizon on the way to the station and home from the station at the other end, but not while on the train. A pity, because I'm sure that there must be some cells out there not yet mapped. And I even got a window seat with a power socket on the way back, so could have had the app going full blast.

Never mind, I'll go plot another devious roundabout route to and from swimming lesson for tomorrow night to score another few hundred APs.

I think it's more to do with the physical construction. I can get a GPS signal on my Orbit2 on the Cambridge/King Cross line, but not on the Cambridge/Liverpool Street line.

I even got a GPS signal on the Trinity last year going 550mph in a Ryanair 737 Uncanny looking at how the roads fly by on TomTom.

As for Navizon- I've pretty much exhausted my route options, so am stuck near my 1st reward stage. MAy try a different walk through City of London today, but pretty much all those are already mapped

Seems that way to me, as couldn't get a GPS fix even when the train sat still for a while. Tried Google maps as well, and that couldn't get a GPS response.

You get points for already mapped, and the aps available do vary from day to day, so just keep on using Navizon on your existing routes and you'll find your total creeps slowly up. I still pick up 3 or 4 aps a day on the 1km direct route to work, after more than a month!

Re: Support us using Navizon

Just spent two days driving from Notts to Southampton and then on to Newquay and home again....what a disappointing score I got...they say the first million is the easiest, but the second is a lot harder....in my case the first tenner was easy, the second much harder!!

Re: Support us using Navizon

Yeah finding similar issues here with the same old routes being travelled, but off to Wales in a few weeks so looking forward to some new GPS fodder then!
