Re: Support us using Navizon

What I tend to do is if I'm on a new journey I go 3G there and GSM back. It's surprising how many new towers you can pick up. Recently in Manchester managed to pick up 35 new o2 ones which did surprise me. Have now managed to rack up 191,000 points total. (problem is when I transfer them to paypal my missus spends them on Ebay

I have managed to pick up over 1,200 new cell towers in the last 4 weeks. I went on ebay and bought a pay as you go THREE sim card for 99P. With 3 (apart from London) it's like virgin territory. Got a trip to Salford next week so will try and max out what parts of Manchester I haven't done yet.

Re: Support us using Navizon

Have you forgotten that it was Massiv who got us all into Navizon in the first place by writing about it on the forum?
And so far as anyone already a Navizon member is concerned, they can't join us, as the scheme is only for new member referrals.

Re: Support us using Navizon

Bah humbug!
Got to a Navizon reward level today, go to the website to redeem it and see this:
Quote:
Starting Sunday April 14 2008, the cash value of each reward will be set to $15
Now as Sunday is the 13th, who knows what will happen to rewards redeemed today? Anyway I have redeemed the reward and sent it as a donation to the site, so it will be interesting to see whether $15 or $20 turns up.
This is a nasty thing to do without warning to anyone sitting on a pile of unredeemed rewards.

Re: Support us using Navizon

I would have expected them to have turned off points for previous found items first but would have expected them to actually pay more for the ones left so to speak.

Its a good program on the free version but there is one real annoyance - it keeps sticking itself into startup everytime there is a new version and worse it does not do it until you have soft reset!

Re: Support us using Navizon

They have turned off payment for Manhattan completely by not allocating points any more. So I was expecting more exclusion areas, no points for confirmation and maybe lower points for new finds. But the less money for a reward is nasty because it penalises people who had already done the mapping but not claimed. I had figured that Navizon could not afford to keep paying at that level so claimed all mine as soon as I could.

Re: Support us using Navizon

It came through at the $20 dollar value Steph. Not good about the fee being reduced though.

Re: Support us using Navizon

Another reward on its way to the site. Looks like the much anticipated slowdown in collection has finally happened. This one took 3 weeks instead of 2 to collect, and was mainly generated by a couple of one-off journeys, to the other side of Stockport by bike and to Whitby by car.
